Job Description:

Wincanton is looking for an Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Sector Lead for the General Merchandise Sector. The successful candidate will lead and develop the Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence & Operational Excellence function and deliverables, providing management expertise, coaching and guidance on all CI & Ops Ex activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Grocery and Consumer People Partner and Team Leader with our internal and external talent strategy
• Provide support and guidance to hiring managers through our recruitment platform within Oracle cloud
• Supporting and arranging interviews and assessments for suitable candidates
• Making offers of employment to suitable candidates.
• Providing management information to the People Partner support the sectors overarching talent, succession, and development framework
• Continually review processes improving the candidate experience

Requirements:

• Certified Black Belt or working towards equivalent qualification (training will be supported if necessary, to achieve this)
• Experience in developing and delivering CI & Ops Ex
• Experience of working at a similar level and have knowledge of Lean and process improvement tools and techniques to black-belt level or equivalent.
• MS Office and statistical proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Minitab)
• Knowledge of Project Management tools & techniques
• Experience of managing change in a challenging environment
• Process orientation, with a track record of implementing process improvements and controls within a supply chain environment
