Job Description

Working with the department’s Strategic Performance Team, Defence Resources and Financial Military Capability teams, FLCs and TLB staff to deliver transformation and data informed workforce planning. Working closely with the Civilian HR Workforce planning team to ensure that outcomes are whole force and integrated.
Working with the Workforce Performance team to improve workforce plans and data insights and analysis which can then be presented to enable senior decision making. Lead deep dive data driven investigations into specific workforce challenges. Using data to understand where improvements can be made in departmental HR strategies and policies and working with stakeholders to agree changes to be taken forward.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to meet all Government reporting requirements that require workforce and skills related inputs, such as the Annual
• Report and Accounts (ARAc), and other high level correspondence requirements. Support other wider staff programmes of work or
• CDP tasks as the emerge, including Head Office review and Strategic Cycle work.
• Take the lead for understanding the workforce planning requirements for Head Office. This includes evaluation of multiple internal workforce plans, and assessment and assurance of delivery of Spending Review and Integrated Review commitments. To take the lead on agile deep dive projects into pan-defence workforce segments to bring coherency to complex problems.

 

Requirements:

• CDP as Defence Authority for People is to set and assure people policies and processes to sustain the delivery of Defence output by the 260,000 members of the Armed Forces (AF) and MOD Civilian.
• The Job holder will work routinely with the Chief of Defence People (CDP), and his senior team, provide face to face briefings and develop evidence to inform decision making. The role provides the opportunity to hone your ability to operate at senior level, whilst demonstrating your ability to deliver quality outputs to tight deadlines.
