Job Description

The ATO has overall management control of the Lyneham managed network services, which includes the routing of network services across the Lyneham site. These services include telephony, the administration network (MODNET) used by support staff, the training network (LEARN) used by trainees and trainers, and some smaller network services used by contractors in support of training.

 

Responsibilities:

• The ATO is the primary point of contact for telecommunications contractors that need access to the site. The
• ATO also manages the completion and submission of Service Order Request Forms on behalf of the unit. The
• ATO is a Local Security Officer for MODNET and the primary Authorised Demander for telecommunications systems used by DSEME.

 

Requirements:

• The ATO is the primary contact for requests involving redistribution of Communication and Information
• Systems (CIS) assets on the MODNET network and is responsible for the upkeep of the MODNET and telephony asset register. The ATO is responsible for maintaining the Lyneham CIS network diagrams (details of network routing internally within buildings and externally across the site). The ATO also coordinates planned power and service outages affecting CIS on site, ensuring that all staff are informed.
