Responsibilities:

• An exciting opportunity within Brent Customer and Digital Services has arisen in our Revenues service. The successful post holder will be responsible for inspecting new and altered dwellings and hereditaments to ensure that the Council Tax and Business Rates Valuation Lists are accurately maintained. The successful candidate is one who can work effectively as part of a team and takes pride in their work.
• The successful candidate will work in our Inspection Team and will need to be able to effectively manage the day-to-day work and actively contribute to achieving the team’s objectives.

Requirements:

• You need to possess good knowledge of the Council Tax and NNDR regulations; being familiar with the Brent area and experience with inspecting is desirable. You need to have enthusiasm, be well organised, positive and passionate in your approach, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• The successful candidate will need to be able to prioritise and manage their inspection workload and ensure that team targets are achieved. Candidates need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers and liaise with other departments to obtain information to maintain accurate records for Council Tax and Business Rates.
