Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage all OTM staff annual leave and input onto roster and Accept or Decline within seven days
• Attend Planning Meetings with customers when necessary to discuss future workload
• Check the work programme in collaboration with the maintenance and production departments prior to building the roster
• Attend Meetings with the Senior Head of Production and Delivery to discuss future workload to organise Route Learning/Training
• Identify and manage to close out all anomalies with the Customers orders
• Participate in daily /weekly/periodic operational planning meetings when required
• Identify the need for External Conductors and staff lodging requirements keeping both to a minimum.
• All rosters to be published to staff on time
• Liaise with other Regional Planning and Rostering Coordinators to optimise manpower utilisation and minimise the requirement for external conductors
• Carry out On-Call duties when required

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience of general planning
• Knowledge of rules and regulations as applicable to rail plant operations
• Good geographical knowledge of the railway infrastructure network
• A proven team player who has the ability to deliver in what could be described as demanding circumstances
• To be able to present information in a clear and concise manner
• Be able to communicate with personnel at all levels
• The ability to have open discussion with clients.
• Competent in accident and incident investigation and reporting
