Job Description

The role is best suited to someone passionate and proactive, who is an existing mid-level manager that is seeking a change; for example going from a small-medium business to a bigger organisation, going from agency to client-side or wants to get financial service experience.
The role will have joint accountability of £150k-£200k of a £500k sales target for organic performance of key products such as travel insurance, travel money, protection and loans.
We are currently seeking a Technical SEO Manager with solid web analytics, web development and content SEO experience to work on our large scale B2C website. The role will be involved with the strategy, execution and monitoring of all technical and product SEO projects. This is a critical role to SEO team and the business, in order to improve rankings and organic search enhancements for competitive financial service keywords.

Responsibilities: 

• Strategic and road mapping skills for commercial products. This role will be focused on key financial service
• products including but not limited to; travel insurance, travel money, life insurance and loans
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Completing content briefs
  At least 3 years working knowledge of both Technical SEO and Content SEO for large complicated or enterprise sites
• Technical SEO audits
• Reporting into an SEO Lead and working within an SEO team
• Manager level experience (role does not include people management)
• Experience in owning SEO KPIs for various products, and effective reporting of SEO performance to stakeholders across the business
• Comfortable with code – Whilst you don’t require the coding skills of a developer, you will understand HTML,
• Javascript, Schema/JSON mark up, and the workings of JavaScript
• Working autonomously and taking proactive ownership of your workload
• Forecasting keyword opportunity, organic traffic, sales and CVR% experience

Requirements: 

 

• SEO agency background
• Extracting data using API features
• Reviewing SEO code-related changes by the development and content management teams
• Organic search experience in financial services/insurance/currency
  Using Botify
• Using SEO tools including reporting, rank tracking (Semrush and SEO Monitor) and, technical (Deep Crawl,
• Botify, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs), Google tools (structured data tools, JSON generator and site speed tools)
  Log file data analysis
• Experience of project management software such as Trello, Monday and Jira
• Strong analytical skills using Adobe, Adobe report builder, Google Analytics, and Google Data Studio (Power BI is desirable)
• Strong Excel and Google Sheet skills including i.e. Vlookups, pivots, countif, iferror, len, and or/and
• Local SEO & Google My Business experience
• Completing content briefs
• A/B testing
• Site search optimisation (Swift type or a similar tool)
• Python or BigQuery experience
• Forecasting organic traffic and sales
• In depth knowledge of using SEO tools: Botify, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Botify, Deepcrawl, Ahrefs and Semrush
