Job Description

As a Council, we strive to put our residents first. This includes ensuring that new development in the borough brings with it the infrastructure required to support existing and future residents. Hillingdon is a borough of contrasts. This presents unique challenges for our planners with challenges that include major infrastructure projects such as Heathrow, HS2 and the Elizabeth Line, the protection of our historic and natural environments, and the delivery of new housing and jobs on sites in and around our town centres, particularly focusing on Uxbridge.

 

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong mentoring and performance management skills.
• Be confident in building relationships with professionals across the Council, including the senior leadership team.
• Be effective in creating systems and processes to meet the Council’s statutory requirements.
• Be able to explain technical information to a range of stakeholders.
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
