Job Description:

This is a key role in our recently formed leadership engagement team. We’re developing a new strategy for Network Rail to drive engagement. We’re part of the Customer Services team, combining the best customer service tools with engagement and communication.. Our remit is to work with leaders to help them engage their people more effectively.

Responsibilities:

• A typical day will certainly involve meetings with colleagues and team members to discuss strategy, brainstorm ideas, develop plans for future keynote events, or our recognition programme.
• You are very likely to be leading these meetings, involving colleagues (often more senior) in planning, sharing and generating ideas and selling in proposed approaches. Being able to communicate confidently is important. Curiosity and great listening skills are essential
• You’ll have one direct report, so you might spend some time with that person progressing work together. We take objective setting and personal development seriously, so you’ll be having regular conversations on these topics.

Requirements:

• This role requires great communication skills, and substantial experience of events management (from concept to completion).
• The successful candidate will be insightful and astute about what really works, will be creative and resourceful individual and will be a capable multi-tasker.
• They will have the energy and confidence to challenge the status quo.
• They will be a capable project manager.
