Responsibilities:

• The Gas Transmission Gas Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship (Electrical & Instrumentation) Programme is a 4-year apprenticeship, in which you will complete a BTEC and HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, whilst also working to a level 3 Gas Network Craftsperson apprenticeship qualification.
• During your time on programme you will be based at a local gas site, in which you will gain invaluable on-job experience to support you working towards your first post technician role.
• You will also spend time at National Grid’s high-class training centre in rural Nottinghamshire, gaining the knowledge needed to aid your on-job experience.

Requirements:

• Internal and/or external risk or audit experience and a good understanding of risk management, business processes and controls.
• Ability to provide value adding insights to improve the overall control environment, best practices risk and governance culture within the organization.
• Strong technical risk management, governance and/or audit skills, understand risk assessment techniques, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defence frameworks.
• Previous experience with controls testing as well as broader business acumen.
• Good planning, project management skills.
• Technology experience including data analytics (e.g., ACL) and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) GRC Archer is a plus.
