Position Title:  Analyst Higher Apprentice

Job Description:

Whether it’s the long-distance transport of renewable energy, electricity interconnectors between neighbouring markets or the storage of liquefied natural gas, we’re working hard to make energy reliable, clean and affordable for consumers.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the business in the development of IT strategic plans, technology roadmaps and investment plans aligned to business needs
• Work with the Gas business teams to understand their processes and find creative ways to increase value through technology and IT services
• Build strong working relationships with members of the Gas business, IT and vendor partners (IBM, Wipro, TCS and Capgemini)
• Working with partners and IT colleagues to understand how we further digitalise our business
• Build a good understanding of how technology adds value to the business
• Develop a good understanding of current and emerging digital technologies, best practises and the application of new technology
• Invaluable understanding of business and IT strategy at the start of the new regulatory period (RIIO-2)

Requirements:

• A levels / A2: Grades A* – C (1 must be in either Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Computing); or
• BTEC National Certificate OR Diploma Level 3 in IT, Computing, IT Systems and Development, IT (Software Development), IT (Business), ICT Systems and Principles, Computing (Software Engineering Stream) at Grade Merit or Distinction; or
• HNC/HND in IT, Computing, IT Systems and Development, IT (Software Development), IT (Business), ICT Systems and Principles, Computing (Software Engineering Stream) at Grade Merit or Distinction; or
• Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Computing.
