Position Title: Development Executive

Job Description:

You will be responsible for providing administrative support for London Transport Museum’s hugely successful Corporate Membership scheme working closely with the Corporate Membership Development Manager to project manage events, manage small projects / campaigns, deliver the Corporate Membership scheme and attract new Members

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Marketing & Development department, the Museum Director, the Board, and external advocates to achieve agreed targets for income generation.
  • Conduct preliminary research on companies and individuals that have a good reason to support the Museum, collate and cultivate relationships.
  • Develop and maintain regular contact with existing / potential Members and stakeholders through phone calls, letters, meetings, presentations and events, or through a carefully selected advocate acting on the Museum’s behalf. Set up; attend meetings / events to understand the stakeholders and their interests in supporting the Museum and ensuring that contractual obligations are met.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills. Post holder must present themselves well in a range of situations, including one-to-one meetings with funders and stakeholders at manager level, written proposals and promotional copy writing
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, editing and proof reading skills
  • A flexible approach. Able to adapt to a range of social and work situations
  • Committed to working with the team to meet income targets
  • Diplomatic and sensitive to the balance between a range of organisational objectives and priorities
