Responsibilities:

• Operating within a team of End-User engineers in the design, build and provision end-user laptops/desktops and associated software, voice and video hardware and mobile devices
• Respond to IT incidents assigned, perform incident resolution or when needed, escalation to the appropriate team
• Support of users throughout the business at all levels including executives
• Support the deployment of Windows upgrades (current 10 to 11) as part of our evolving user endpoint strategy
• Execute software installation and deployment to end user systems
• Ensure security and policy compliance while performing technical tasks
• Maintain currency of all technologies through updates and patching to defined cycles
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge/training articles, procedures & process definitions
• Perform emergency and periodically planned administration tasks, maintenance/upgrades and configuration changes
• Contribute to IT projects as needed and as coordinated by the assigned project manager
• Provision of application and OS maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions
• Support the investigation and resolution of issues, performance monitoring, diagnostic gathering, troubleshooting and problem analysis
• Frontline collaboration with colleagues specialising in different areas, such as IT Service Desk, Infrastructure Services, Network and Telephony support, Information Security, vendors and third-party support providers
• Support demand for planned and reactive work across Manchester, Leeds and London offices including participation in an out of hours support rota

Requirements:

• Analytical skills in order to interpret complex market, legal, tax, and company data relating to corporate events.
• Full understanding of the financial and reputational risks associated with corporate action processing.
• Developing a strong and trusting relationship with key stakeholders and internal business units – another essential component of the role is dealing with ad hoc requests from a variety of different Business Units across the firm as and when they arise.
• Effectively communicate; defined as communication that is direct, courteous, grammatically correct, clear, succinct and business-like.
• Exercise sound judgement to make logical decisions and know when to escalate issues. Credibly debate and challenge processes within your role in line with the approved Risk Appetite Framework.
• Organise, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Approaches all situations with positive outlook, energy and enthusiasm with resilience , drive and initiative.
• Shows creativity and takes individual ownership for work quality and improvement.
