Job Description

You will be part of small team of skilled criminal disclosure practitioners, working closely with the investigation teams across the FIS Individuals and Businesses London Region, to ensure that HMRCs disclosure obligations are properly discharged.
This is a high profile and demanding role within the Dedicated Disclosure Team.
Disclosure is one of the most important issues in the criminal justice system and an integral part of a criminal investigation. The application of proper and fair disclosure is a vital component of criminal justice work. Management of disclosure is key to successful criminal prosecutions and is crucial to ensure that a fair prosecution is achieved.
The role can be based at either Stratford or Croydon Regional Centre, but you will be expected to work with the investigators and travel to case conferences and court as required.

Responsibilities:

• Responding to queries both verbally and in writing from customers and stakeholders.
• Dealing with sometimes complex case work, making risk-based decisions following Cabinet Office Policy Documentation.
• Conducting further investigations at interview, which may be highly sensitive and emotive.
• Providing coaching and guidance to team members, ensuring quality is upheld.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve the vetting service.

Requirements:

• Carry out Aftercare/Ongoing vetting support to the Business ensuring a complete through life assurance for all vetted individuals.
• Preparation of appeal packs.
• Potential line management of a small number of staff.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve the vetting service.
