Responsibilities:
- Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Chicago, IL. Point of contact for issues related to systems and applications utilized by Shareholder Servicing, in the Asset Management division. Provide remediation, engage in system process analysis, and develop and drive strategic roadmaps for system improvements and enhancements, and define business and technology communication plans for all shareholder recordkeeping, trade settlements and client reporting. Resolve internal and vendor record-keeping system issues that directly impact business operations and/or client interactions. Research and identify issues to provide roadmap for Technology or escalate novel issues to Technology for resolution. Escalate identified issues, impact and resolution to Global Shareholder Services (GSS) business areas and management to ensure that all impacted teams are informed, and the resolution is implemented. Recommend and drive process improvements to increase system robustness and mitigate risk of disruption in client reporting and operational workflows. This includes the requirements gathering and testing of system changes. Liaise with Technology in managing production issues related to online systems, client reporting and transmission, and recommend solutions for identified issues and process improvements. Develop, test and maintain Business continuity plan to ensure the continued operations of critical GSS shareholder trading and settlement, fund reporting and NAV distribution functions .
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computational Finance, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years working with: MS Access (or similar database application, such as MS SQL Server Management Studio or Aqua Data Studio) and SQL to research, retrieve and analyze Fund related data i.e. fund activity and performance data; MS Excel, Jira and Confluence for daily reporting and data analysis; File layouts, transmission establishment and transmission issue resolution within financial industry; acting as a liaison between business and technology teams and ensuring that technology supports/reflects business requirements; and providing deliverables for technology-centric projects in financial services industry, from developing strategic roadmaps for process improvements and enhancements, and defining business process and technology communication plans. Handling 2-3 critical projects at a time from start to completion. Includes resolving 3-6 ongoing production issues for projects with varied levels of criticality.
