Job Description

As a Technical Trainer/Assessor you will work within a supportive team to create a motivated, healthy, respectful and constructive working environment. Your technical knowledge will be underpinned by your ability to influence teams and gain buy-in for training.
Can you translate theories and concepts into practises that work (and make sense to trainees)? We’d love it if you already have some experience of training and assessing engineers especially within traction/rolling stock. More importantly though, we need you to have the ability to support your trainees in a way that makes sense to them, creating knowledgeable, safe teams.

 

Responsibilities:

• Delivering high quality technical training to plan
• Supporting engineers to succeed in competence assessments
• Creating presentations, reports and analysis using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Access
• Developing new courses and updating existing courses within agreed timescales
• Creating in-depth but useable training documents to support and consolidate learning
• Recording completed training and competence assessments
• Building new staff skills and knowledge within traction and rolling stock, leading to a reduction in repeat
• failures and safety incidents.
