Our teams are putting the world’s retailers online using the cloud, robotics, AI, and IoT. We provide services to partner clients globally via our innovative advanced robotics technology, known as the Ocado Smart Platform (“OSP”), this drives our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). In our CFCs – together with the proprietary software applications – we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all hardware is fit for purpose (including oversight of testing / QA)
• Work alongside Procurement to ensure solutions are optimised and adhere to company strategy (ethical supply, suitable warranties, reliable providers etc.)
• Work in collaboration with System Architects and front line Development to ensure hardware is optimised for company products
• Devise optimal hardware architectures using a catalogue of available components, to ensure the best performance profile possible
• Vendor Engagement
• Asset management

Requirements:

• Knowledge of hardware environmental considerations as well as regulations
• Ability to engage with relevant teams when making hardware decisions
• Ability Cultivate & maintain strong relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers.
