Job Description:

This post forms part of the Financial Reporting Team which manages the CPS’s accounting records, produces the monthly and annual accounts, manages the CPS’s cash balances by ensuring accurate and timely reporting and forecasting, and undertakes a range of other financial functions for the CPS.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management of a large Resourcing team to deliver quality outcomes to a wide range of customers from CPS Areas, HQ and Casework Divisions.
• Develops and implements processes to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Strategic Resourcing Team in line with recruitment standards and commissioners guidelines
• Co-ordinates continuous improvement through the spread of best practice and listens to customer and stakeholder feedback to bring about changes in recruitment process and design.
• Mentor and support teams to develop their recruitment knowledge and skills.
• Regularly communicates with Business Areas in the CPS to understand their recruitment needs and to deliver a quality customer service.

Requirements:

• The role will involve interacting with staff in the Areas and HQ to coordinate information requirements and provide advice on CPS accounting policy.
• The role includes line management of up to two A2 members of staff within the team.
• There will be involvement with the preparation of information and evidence for the auditors (National Audit Office) and also liaising with the Treasury, HMRC and other government departments.
