Job Description

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor (permanent contract) covering in classrooms across all subject areas where the teacher is absent.

Responsibilities:

• This person will work under the direction of the SIMS Administrator.
• Duties include the supervision of students, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities; managing the behaviour of students to ensure an appropriate learning environment which is purposeful, orderly and productive.

Requirements:

• Ideally suited to this role would be someone with excellent communication skills and a highly organised approach.
• Classroom experience/skills are desirable. Interested candidates could also be required to provide cover for the school’s Medical Room – in which case First Aid training will be provided.
