Job Description

The QEH admissions department is looking for a motivated, organised individual to line manage their friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the Admissions team at the Queen Elizabeth Woolwich site and will need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be a good motivator.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 admissions supervisor to join our team at the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (Queen Elizabeth Hospital site). Candidates will need to be flexible their hours of work as they will be required to participate in the departmental rota to support the departments working hours 8am to 6pm.

 

Responsibilities:

• To provide cross cover for the admissions coordinator team as and when necessary.
• To support the Deputy Service Manager in the planning, development, provision and review of the admission services.
• To represent the Service Manager/Deputy Service Manager at meetings in relation to admission and achieving national targets as and when required.
• The post holder will apply the Trust’s Waiting list access policy and assure that all staff from the admission coordinator team adheres to this policy.
• To attend weekly the Theatre Utilisation Programme Group (TUPG) and deal with any concerns identified.

Requirements:

• To represent the Service Manager/Deputy Service Manager at meetings in relation to admission and achieving national targets as and when required.
• The post holder will apply the Trust’s Waiting list access policy and assure that all staff from the admission coordinator team adheres to this policy.
• To provide cross cover for the admissions coordinator team as and when necessary.
• To assure the surgery cancellation is validated and reported on a weekly basis.
• To attend weekly the Theatre Utilisation Programme Group (TUPG) and deal with any concerns identified.
